Protest: Local History Resource Program and Kit
Grades 6 to 8 – Year Round
Candy Bar Protest, Abbotsford 1947. P1345 students learn basic research skills while learning about the history of their community. During a visit to the Museum Annex students will have a slide show, archives orientation and access to an information folder on a local history topic. The Archives Resource Kit will go back to the classroom as a resource for students to produce a project or report that meets your curriculum requirements. NOTE -This is an excellent starting point for a Historica Fair project!
Learning Outcomes: Research skills and community history.
Program Length: *90 minutes.
Location: MSA Museum at Trethewy House *Kit goes to the classroom for a two-week loan period.
Cost: $2 student
Parental help is required.
